Chris Burry

Mr. Burry is an experienced entrepreneur, technology leader, and an investor. As an entrepreneur, Mr. Burry has found multiple companies in the software, hardware and services sectors. He led three of these companies to successful exists. The largest exit was $1.2B. Mr. Burry is currently the co-CEO at the US Market Access Center (based in Silicon Valley). In this role, he teaches classes and workshops, coaches and mentors entrepreneurs around the world. Over the last 10 years, he has trained and mentored well over 3,000 founding teams from 75 countries. USMAC’s alumni have raised over $5B in capital and collectively are worth in excess of $25B+ USD. In addition to his work at USMAC, he is a Global Ambassador for the UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology (SCET). SCET is the “heart” of the Berkeley entrepreneurship ecosystem. In 2023, Mr. Burry joined with other faculty at UC Berkeley and leading ecosystem builders in emerging markets to launch the Global Innovation Dojo. The Dojo combines the global experience of USMAC with the Berkeley Method of Entrepreneurship (based on 10+ years of research) in order to help great founders who in turn create great companies. The Dojo will launch it’s first programs in Georgia late 2023. Earlier in his career, Mr. Burry spent over nine years at Avanade, holding a wide range of senior leadership roles. He was a member of the founding team and was the first CIO of the company and led company’s global expansion effort. During his time at Avanade, it grew from a single, small location to having operations on 28 countries around the globe. Today, Avanade is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Accenture with revenues in excess of $4B per year. Prior to joining Avanade, Mr. Burry held various positions at Andersen Consulting, EDS, and other organizations.
